One type of motivation that both the reading and video talked about was overcoming challenges. I think this can be applied to video games and the real world. Often when we can do something we will try over and over to get better and eventually accomplish what we were trying to do. Or we can try different ways to reach the same goal. In video games you always want to get to the next level or get that reward, so you have work on your strategies, or skills to over come the challenge you're facing, like practicing or trying different ways to win. Another type of motivation talked about was emotional motivation. Which is that people can be motivated to move away or towards a certain emotion for satisfaction. Video games often relive stress, and make people focus on other things rather than what is going on in their life that may be painful for them. In the reading and in the video it was said that video games can make people happier. That's because of the emotional motivation pulling those gamers towards happier emotions. The last motivation I'm going to talk about is, motivational goals. Video games usually have rewards or some type of levels for doing well or getting past a certain point in the game. Levels especially motivate us to keep going, or work harder to get those last few points or move up in the game. We can also apply motivational goals to everyday life as well.

  1. That is true that motivation said in both reading and video are challenges people meet in the way of goal setting and success. These challenges may be physically or emotionally until people get success.

    1. I think the best way to complete goals are to have some type of competition. Because competition motivates others to work harder, I think it makes goals more achievable.
